• Lori (daughter) and Chip were appointed in 1999 and are currently serving in Central Asia in community outreach and encounter. They have three children, Samuel (born in 2002), Miriam Anna (born in 2004) and Gloria (born in 2005).
• Russell (son) and Angela and their three children, Zachary (born in 1995), Joseph (born in 1999) and Anna Grace (born in 2002), currently live in Nashville, Tennessee where Russell is the Manager of Editorial Services/Editor-in-Chief of LifeWay’s Communication Department. They previously served in East Asia from 1999 to January 2005.

Previous Board Assignments

• Appointed missionary to Indonesia in June 1970
• Language student, Bandung, Indonesia
• Church and home worker in Jember, East Java, Indonesia
• Served in a special assignment in Bangalore, India, from April to June 1979
• Church and home worker in Surabaya and Bandung, Indonesia, 1980-82
• Church and home worker in Bangkok, Thailand, 1982-86, while husband served as associate to the director for South and Southeast Asia.
• Assigned to the India mission July 31, 1986, served as church and home worker in India mission, residing in Bangkok, Thailand.
• Resigned from missionary service May 31, 1987, when husband joined the FMB staff as area director for Southern Asia and the Pacific (May 3, 1987 – June 13, 1993) to oversee the work of 480 missionaries in 15 countries. Based in Singapore, she worked alongside him in an area-wide responsibility of ministering among missionaries and national Christians, especially women and families.
• Lived and ministered in Richmond, Virginia, where her husband served as president of the International Mission Board, 1993-2010.
